About

I am a photographer of eclectic interests, curious about all things – and sometimes a tad obsessive.

I have recently returned to Canberra after five wonderful and eventful years in Kalimantan (the Indonesian part of Borneo). I am deeply interested in discovering, recording and communicating about the cultures and landscapes of this extraordinary part of the world.

In 2013 I completed postgraduate studies at the School of Art, Australian National University (Master of Visual Art). My photographic work (featured on this blog) covers a variety of styles and subjects, including portraits, architecture, still life, wildlife and wilderness. I make restrained use of a variety of post-processing techniques to better express the mood and ideas of my images.

‘Beating myself up’, 2011

Over the past decade my work has been shown in a number of solo and group exhibitions. Some of my commissioned work has previously been used in corporate publications, advertising and web sites.
