PURA DALEM, UBUD #3 - A procession of women from one of the banjars (neighbourhood associations) carry offerings through the first gate of the Pura Dalem (Shiva temple) in Ubud for the ceremonies to mark the temple’s Odalan (anniversary). In all, some hundreds of women from a number of different banjars will come. The offerings, including fruit, rice cakes, meats and sweets, are later taken back home and eaten.
